Scania´s chassis range make considerable use of standardised components from the truck range. Up to 80 percent of a tourist coach chassis can be the same as in the Scania´s truck range. This means that the chassis are designed for the often tougher conditions a truck works in. The result is chassis with high dependability and uptime, as well as cut standstill times for service and maintenance.

The frames are low-weight, but still very rigid. The design promotes excellent driveability and comfort levels, as well as low noise and low vibrations.

Scania sells all chassis, except for the F94 multipurpose, with a rear mounted 9, 11 or 12 litre diesel engine. The 9-litre engine is also available with gas power. Output range from 220 up to 420 hp, providing excellent performance and fuel economy.
