Young European Truck Driver
  Who can participate?

If you are below the age of 35, why not take part in the Young European Truck Driver competition in 2005! The competition puts the driver in focus as the single most important actor in the transport business, as well as the most important actor regarding safety and environmental factors on the roads.

Young European Truck Driver will start with local qualification rounds in spring 2005 at Scania’s dealer premises or at test tracks around Europe. Both theoretical and practical tests such as precision manoeuvring and economy driving will be parts of the competition. Following the national finals, the European final with the very best drivers will be held in Sweden 16-18 September 2005.

You are guaranteed driving Truck of the Year 2005 once you have passed the written theoretical tests and made it to the qualification rounds.

The Young European Truck Driver competition is organised by Scania in co-operation with Michelin and Shell and is also endorsed by the European Commission and IRU (the International Road Transport Union).

If you are 35 years or younger, working as a professional truck driver or are in training to become one, you fulfil the criteria to be a part of the Young European Truck Driver competition.
