A skilled and well educated driver makes a difference. He or she has a better opportunity to avoid accidents and save lives on the roads, as well as lower the operational costs for the employer, for example through reduced fuel consumption.

To further reinforce the focus on road safety, Scania will also in connection with the competitions arrange local road safety seminars and meetings with relevant contacts in the participating countries. The road safety seminars will in many of the countries be arranged in cooperation with the World Health Organisation (WHO).
