Scania has plenty to show at the IAA commercial vehicle show, which is open to the public 3-10 September (press days 1-2 September).
Scania now offers a complete range of operational services that enables customers to tailor a deal to individual demands. Scania's role is moving from being just a supplier of vehicles towards acting as a partner in the development of the customer’s
business.
Scania launches low-emissions engines designed for city environments. Emission levels are down for NOx and for particulates. The new engines are revised versions of Scania’s 9-litre unit, featuring electronic diesel control.
Together with trailer manufacturer Krone, has Scania developed a truck combination capable of carrying 50 percent more load by weight or volume. The concept truck demonstrates how road haulage can be made more efficient using fewer trucks to transport
the same load and with a lower impact on the environment.
