Preliminary first quarter report
Against the background of the current strong focus on the Scania share and the development of the company, the Board of Scania has found it essential to give an indication of Scania’s results for the first quarter as soon as possible.
During the first quarter of 1999, compared to the same quarter 1998, deliveries of Scania vehicles increased by 11 percent to 12,910 (11,669) trucks and buses. Group sales increased by 13 percent to SEK 11,779 m. compared with the first quarter of 1998.
The result before taxes for the first quarter of 1999 increased to SEK 1,110 m. compared with SEK 552 m. for the first quarter of 1998.
Further information will be given in conjunction with the complete first-quarter report, which will be issued on 28 April.
