Purchasing
 
   
 
A position in purchasing gives you contacts throughout the world. You are responsible for a number of Scania’s suppliers and ensure that their products maintain a high level of quality and delivery assurance, at the right cost.

Purchasers create strategies, negotiate contracts with suppliers, and monitor potential suppliers. They often work in projects for developing new products.

The work involves daily contact with suppliers in different countries and cooperation with Scania’s various purchasing departments in Europe and Latin America.

In addition to the central purchasing functions, Scania has purchasing offices in Poland, the Czech Republic, US and China.

Purchasers at Scania often have Master of Engineering or Master of Business Administration degrees.
