Scania’s objective is to deliver optimised heavy trucks and buses, engines and services, that enable its customers to achieve the best operating economy.

Scania operates in about 100 countries and has more than 37,500 employees. Research and development activities are concentrated in Sweden. Production takes place in Europe and South America, with facilities for global interchange of both components and complete vehicles.

In 2011, invoiced sales totalled SEK 87.7 billion, and net income amounted to SEK 9.4 billion. A growing proportion of Scania’s business consists of service-related products and financing; during 2011 service revenue totalled SEK 17.0 billion.
