During 2004, Scanias’s costs for raw materials, chemicals, energy and water totalled MSEK 2,048, equivalent to about 3.6 per cent of Scania’s sales. Transport expenses amounted to MSEK 1,660. Emissions of carbon dioxide from Scania’s production plants totalled 74 thousand tonnes. In relation to Scania’s sales, this represents 1.3 g/SEK. Compared to previous year, emissions per vehicle manufactured decreased.
