Scania’s environmental work is coordinated by a network of co-workers. The network represents all parts of the value chain. All managers have environmental responsibility in their operating areas and operational decisions are taken at local level.

The highest decision-making level is the Scania Executive Board, which makes strategic environmental decisions and also establishes and follows up overall environmental matters.

Common items of business are prepared by the Scania Environmental Committee, where environmental coordinators from various operations meet under the leadership of the Quality and Environment department.

The environmental coordinators have advisory and supportive functions in the organisation, where local management groups are responsible for targets and follow-up at local level.
